Self-Defense for Women at Zenergie
At Zenergie we offer classes in basic self-defense techniques - helping our female clients especially to develop those practical defense skills that can be applied in real life situations. Of course, the immediate benefit of self-defense training is in the great exercise potential of training and practicing. Through the guidance of our qualified instructors, you will enhance your balance, coordination, speed and hand-eye synchronization.

Age is no barrier to self-defense training. Senior women can learn practical techniques and stay fit at the same time. At Zenergie we think of learning self-defense skills as one of the best avenues to applied fitness at any age and we continue to have excellent outcomes with older females with no previous self-defense experience. Our self-defense programs teach female clients how to avoid, diffuse, face violence without losing control to fear. Regular self-defense practice allows a person to stay cool under pressure, to act decisively, to control the adrenalin, while at the same time enhancing fitness and well-being. We like to think of self-defense training as fitness with purpose.
You can expect to make significant gains in strength and muscular endurance, power and coordination after several weeks of training. We believe that our self-defense training is enhanced by including other forms of fitness along with your practice: resistance training, cardio sessions, yoga and body-awareness work.
Self-defense training is an excellent pathway to improving flexibility and suppleness. We include a complete warm-up and cool-down for each self-defense class where stretching muscles and releasing tension is strongly emphasized.
As with all of our programs - personal training, Yoga and meditation - our self-defense training is geared to the capacity of each client. Slow steps or big strides, we are your support system you as you move towards your goals.
